Electrical marketing

Win the Panel Upgrades, Not Just the Outage Calls

Found for the outage at midnight and the panel upgrade next month.

No obligation, and no contract required to get it.

How your trade actually runs

Licensed hours are the scarcest thing you sell

Electrical work is capped by how many licensed hours you can put in front of customers. That makes job selection, not lead count, the lever that actually moves the business.

Emergencies and projects are separate businesses
A tripped panel at night and a planned service upgrade are found, evaluated and bought in completely different ways.
Upgrades carry the margin
Panel replacements, EV chargers and rewires justify the drive in a way that a single outlet never will, and they are searched for by name.
Permits and inspections shape the timeline
The work is not done when the crew leaves. Marketing that ignores the schedule sets expectations the field cannot meet.

The three channels that move electrical first

What you get

What we build for electrical

Emergency calls keep the lights on. Panel upgrades, EV chargers, and rewires are what grow the business. We build the visibility for both, so the schedule fills with work that is actually worth doing.

  • Top placement on emergency searches through Local Service Ads
  • Dedicated pages for EV charger, panel, and rewire work
  • License and insurance visible where homeowners hesitate
  • Junk lead charges disputed instead of quietly absorbed

What it is costing you

Where the jobs are going instead

You pay for leads you never worked

Local Service Ads charge for irrelevant and duplicate calls unless somebody disputes them. Most electricians never file, and it adds up quietly all year.

Item 1

The high-ticket work goes elsewhere

EV chargers and service upgrades get researched before anyone picks up the phone. With no page answering those questions, you are not in the consideration set.

Item 2

A handyman is quoting your job

Your license is a real advantage and it is invisible on a search result. Unstated, it cannot separate you from somebody cheaper.

Item 3

What we fix

The three things holding electrical back

Not a generic marketing checklist with your trade pasted on top. These are the constraints that actually cap growth in this business.

01

Ranking for the Jobs That Pay the Most

Panel upgrades, EV charger installations, whole-home rewires, these are the high-ticket services that grow your business. We create dedicated, SEO-optimized pages for every service you offer and target the specific keywords homeowners use when they're ready to hire, not just browsing.

02

Capturing Both Emergency and Planned Work

When the power goes out, customers grab their phone and call the first electrician they find. We make sure that's you, through Google LSA and Search Ads for emergency keywords. For planned projects, we build organic content that ranks for 'EV charger installation,' 'lighting remodel,' and 'electrical inspection' in your market.

03

Proving You're Licensed, Insured, and Trustworthy

Homeowners need to trust the electrician they let into their home. We build your digital credibility by showcasing your licenses, certifications, and insurance prominently, generating a consistent flow of verified reviews, and creating content that positions you as the local authority in electrical work.

What you get

The system we run for electrical

Every channel links through to exactly how it works, the same page any other client of ours reads before they sign.

See what it costs

When the money is

Emergency work is weather-linked. The profitable work is not.

Outage calls follow storms and cold snaps, which makes them unpredictable. Panel upgrades, EV chargers, and remodel wiring run on a steadier curve, and they are worth considerably more per job.

WinterPeak

Load failures, outages, and heating-related electrical faults.

SpringSteady

Remodel and renovation wiring as projects start.

SummerPeak

Air conditioning load, panel upgrades, and outdoor installs.

FallSteady

Pre-winter inspections and planned upgrade work.

A general pattern for this trade, not measured client data. Your market will have its own shape, and we build against that rather than against this.

Our promise to you

Partner with a company that answers for the number.

“Handing your marketing to someone else means handing over the budget that keeps your crews busy. We don’t take that lightly.

So here’s what we commit to: you will always be able to see where your money went and what it produced, not buried in a report at the end of the quarter, but any day you want to look. We’ll tell you what isn’t working before you have to ask. And we’d rather turn down a fit that isn’t right than take money we can’t grow.

Thank you for trusting us with it.”

Google Review

Charlie and Becky, and the team at Custom Marketing Solutions have elevated our marketing strategy to new heights. The CMS strategy allows us to track where our advertising dollars are being spent, which allows us to manage our marketing budget efficiency. They helped consolidate our websites into one location, and they dispute Local Service Ad calls that are irrelevant. The team is very professional, knowledgeable, and great to work with.

The honest comparison

Three ways to market an electrical company

Electrical demand splits into emergencies and planned upgrades. Marketing one the way you market the other wastes both.

Electrical questions

Ask a different question
01Are Local Service Ads worth it for electrical?

Usually yes, they sit above everything else and charge per lead rather than per click. They are only worth it if someone is disputing the irrelevant and duplicate calls, which is where most of the wasted spend goes.

02How do we get more EV charger and panel upgrade work?

Dedicated pages for each, targeting how people actually search for them. These are researched purchases, the customer reads before they call, so the page has to answer the questions an outage page never needs to.

03Does showing our license number actually matter?

It matters to the customer deciding between you and someone cheaper, and it matters to Google as a trust signal. It costs nothing to display and it removes an objection before it is raised.

04We're booked. Why would we market?

Being booked is not the same as being booked with the right work. Most electricians full on service calls have room to shift the mix toward higher-margin planned jobs, that is a marketing problem, not a capacity one.
