Franchises marketing

Grow Every Location, Without Fighting Your Own Brand

One strategy across every territory, so your locations stop bidding against each other.

No obligation, and no contract required to get it.

How your trade actually runs

Multi-location marketing fails at the seams

Individual locations can each be marketed competently and the group can still underperform, because the failures happen between locations, not inside them.

Locations bid against each other
Run without territory discipline, a group pays twice for the same click and calls it competition.
Local proof does not scale by copy-paste
Duplicated corporate copy across locations reads as a chain and ranks like a doorway page. Local pages need local substance.
The rollup has to be actionable
A blended group report hides the one market that is failing. Per-location and group-level have to be visible in the same view.

What you get

What we build for franchises

Multi-location marketing has a problem single operators never face: corporate owns the brand, the franchisee owns the phone, and the two are usually bidding against each other. We build local visibility for every territory that strengthens the brand instead of competing with it.

  • A location page that ranks for each territory you operate
  • Local budgets that stop bidding against corporate
  • Reporting broken out by location instead of averaged away
  • Brand standards kept intact across every market

What it is costing you

Where the jobs are going instead

You compete with your own brand

When corporate and the franchisee bid the same keywords in the same territory, the network pays twice for one lead. It is the most common and most expensive mistake in franchise marketing.

Item 1

Averages hide the failing locations

A network-level report looks healthy while three territories quietly starve. Without per-location reporting nobody finds them until somebody does not renew.

Item 2

Local search does not care about your brand

Google ranks locations, not logos. A national name with a thin local profile loses the map pack to an independent every single time.

Item 3
Regional manager reviewing a location map with two colleagues in a bright office

What you get

The system we run for franchises

Every channel links through to exactly how it works, the same page any other client of ours reads before they sign.

What we fix

The three things holding franchises back

Not a generic marketing checklist with your trade pasted on top. These are the constraints that actually cap growth in this business.

01

Ending the Corporate Versus Local Bidding War

In most franchise networks we audit, corporate campaigns and franchisee campaigns are bidding on the same keywords in the same postcodes. Both sides pay more, the network gets one lead, and each side blames the other. We consolidate the strategy so budget stops competing with itself and every territory has a clear owner.

02

Making Every Location Rank Locally

Google ranks individual locations, not brands. A strong national name with a half-finished Business Profile still loses the map pack to a local independent. We build a genuine location page and a complete profile for every territory, so brand recognition and local ranking finally work together instead of separately.

03

Reporting That Surfaces Struggling Territories Early

Network-level reporting averages away the locations that are failing. We break performance out by territory so under-performing markets surface while there is still time to fix them, rather than at the renewal conversation.

When the money is

Every location has its own curve

A network spanning several climates does not have one season. Treating it as though it does means half your territories run campaigns timed for somebody else's weather. Budget should follow local demand, not the network calendar.

WinterSteady

Heating-driven markets peak while southern territories stay flat.

SpringPeak

Most territories open at once, the network's busiest window.

SummerPeak

Cooling and exterior demand across the majority of markets.

FallSteady

Pre-winter work in the north, steady demand in the south.

A general pattern for this trade, not measured client data. Your market will have its own shape, and we build against that rather than against this.

Our promise to you

Partner with a company that answers for the number.

“Handing your marketing to someone else means handing over the budget that keeps your crews busy. We don’t take that lightly.

So here’s what we commit to: you will always be able to see where your money went and what it produced, not buried in a report at the end of the quarter, but any day you want to look. We’ll tell you what isn’t working before you have to ask. And we’d rather turn down a fit that isn’t right than take money we can’t grow.

Thank you for trusting us with it.”

Charlie and Becky, and the team at Custom Marketing Solutions have elevated our marketing strategy to new heights. The CMS strategy allows us to track where our advertising dollars are being spent, which allows us to manage our marketing budget efficiency. They helped consolidate our websites into one location, and they dispute Local Service Ad calls that are irrelevant. The team is very professional, knowledgeable, and great to work with.

Franchises questions

Ask a different question
01Who should control the ad accounts, corporate or the franchisee?

Ideally one account structure with per-location visibility, owned so the history stays with the network. What does not work is both parties running separate campaigns on the same keywords in the same territory, that is a bidding war the network funds from both sides.

02How do we stop locations from competing with each other?

Geographic fencing that respects territory boundaries, and a single keyword strategy rather than each location improvising. Most of the overlap we find is accidental rather than deliberate, which makes it straightforward to fix.

03Can you work inside our brand standards?

Yes. Locked brand elements stay locked. What varies is the local content, service areas, and offers that actually drive local ranking. We would rather agree those boundaries up front than negotiate them page by page.

04Do you report by location?

Yes, and it is the main reason to do this properly. Network averages are how struggling territories stay invisible until renewal.
