Roofing marketing

Buy Signed Contracts, Not Expensive Leads

Campaigns judged on signed contracts, not on lead volume.

No obligation, and no contract required to get it.

How your trade actually runs

Lead volume is easy. Sitting through bad leads is expensive

Roofing has no shortage of companies willing to sell you leads. The cost is not the lead fee, it is a rep driving to an appointment that was never going to close.

Storm windows close in days
Demand after a weather event does not wait for a monthly reporting cycle. Spend that moves in days catches it; spend that moves in weeks pays for the aftermath.
Insurance and retail share almost nothing
Different objections, different paperwork, different timelines. One funnel for both means neither conversation lands.
The decision takes weeks
A roof is rarely bought on first contact. Whoever is still present and useful in week three usually signs it.

What you get

What we build for roofing

Roofing has some of the most expensive clicks in home services, and most of that budget dies between the lead and the signature. We build for cost per contract instead, so the spend produces work you actually book.

  • Storm campaigns ready before the hail, not after it
  • Local rankings that outlast out-of-town operators
  • An estimate path built to close, not just to collect
  • Retail and maintenance work between claim seasons

What it is costing you

Where the jobs are going instead

You pay the most for the least

Broad keywords and homepage landings turn the most expensive auction in home services into wasted spend. Cost per lead looks fine while cost per contract quietly climbs.

Item 1

Storm chasers rent your market

They arrive, bid up the auction, take the claims, and leave. If your local presence is thin, they take the work with them.

Item 2

The year rides on the weather

Insurance work is lumpy and unpredictable. With no retail or maintenance channel, a quiet storm season becomes a quiet year.

Item 3
Roofer nailing down a course of architectural shingles

When the money is

A weather-driven curve with an unpredictable overlay.

There is a normal roofing season, and then there are storms, which ignore it entirely. The companies that do well have a baseline that does not depend on hail and campaigns ready for when it comes anyway.

WinterQuiet

Limited installation weather. Repairs, leaks and next-season quoting.

SpringPeak

Hail and wind season in most markets, plus deferred winter damage.

SummerPeak

Prime installation conditions and the most competitive auction of the year.

FallSteady

Pre-winter urgency, a genuinely persuasive reason to buy now.

A general pattern for this trade, not measured client data. Your market will have its own shape, and we build against that rather than against this.

What we fix

The three things holding roofing back

Not a generic marketing checklist with your trade pasted on top. These are the constraints that actually cap growth in this business.

01

Standing Out in the Most Competitive Home Service Market

Roofing is one of the most heavily advertised trades on Google. Every roofer in your market is bidding on the same keywords, running the same ads, and claiming to be the best. We differentiate your business with a conversion-optimized website that showcases your actual work, targeted SEO pages for every service area and roof type you cover, and a paid ads strategy that focuses on lead quality over volume, because one signed contract is worth more than fifty junk leads.

02

Capitalizing on Storm Events Without Being a Storm Chaser

After a major hail or wind event, storm chasers flood your market and drive up ad costs overnight. We prepare your business in advance with storm-specific landing pages, pre-built ad campaigns ready to activate within hours of an event, and a local SEO foundation that outranks the out-of-town operators who disappear after the insurance checks clear. You get the storm work, and the long-term reputation.

03

Generating Year-Round Revenue Beyond Insurance Claims

Insurance restoration work is lucrative, but it's unpredictable. We build parallel marketing channels for roof maintenance programs, gutter replacements, attic ventilation, skylights, and commercial flat roof services, the consistent revenue streams that keep your crews working between storm seasons and reduce your dependence on catastrophic weather events.

What you get

The system we run for roofing

Every channel links through to exactly how it works, the same page any other client of ours reads before they sign.

Our promise to you

Partner with a company that answers for the number.

“Handing your marketing to someone else means handing over the budget that keeps your crews busy. We don’t take that lightly.

So here’s what we commit to: you will always be able to see where your money went and what it produced, not buried in a report at the end of the quarter, but any day you want to look. We’ll tell you what isn’t working before you have to ask. And we’d rather turn down a fit that isn’t right than take money we can’t grow.

Thank you for trusting us with it.”

Google Review

Charlie and Becky, and the team at Custom Marketing Solutions have elevated our marketing strategy to new heights. The CMS strategy allows us to track where our advertising dollars are being spent, which allows us to manage our marketing budget efficiency. They helped consolidate our websites into one location, and they dispute Local Service Ad calls that are irrelevant. The team is very professional, knowledgeable, and great to work with.

Roofing questions

Ask a different question
01How do we compete when a storm brings in out-of-town crews?

On permanence. Local rankings, local reviews, and a real address beat a temporary operator with a bigger daily budget, provided the campaigns and pages already exist before the event rather than being built during it.

02Our cost per lead is enormous. Is that normal?

For roofing, high costs are normal; runaway costs are not. Most of the damage comes from broad keywords, no negative list, and ads landing on the homepage. Cost per signed contract is the number that matters, not cost per lead.

03Should we chase insurance work or retail work?

Both, but not from the same pages or with the same expectations. Insurance work is lumpy and event-driven; retail replacements and maintenance are steadier. Depending entirely on the first is how roofers have bad years.

04Do you have a roofing case study?

Not a published one. Our documented results are in plumbing, HVAC, and landscaping. We would rather point you at those and let you judge the approach than dress up something we have not measured.
